DVD Review: “The Twilight Zone: The Complete Third Season”

DVD Review: “The Twilight Zone: The Complete Third Season”

July 11, 2013 By Summer Brooks Leave a Comment

Twilight Zone S3This week sees the release of The Twilight Zone: The Complete Third Season on DVD, a less expensive option for those classic scifi fans who want the series on DVD and can live without the amazing selection of extras available on the deluxe and Blu-Ray editions.

The audio and video transfers are crisp, and watching “To Serve Man” or “The Gift” or “Kick the Can”, “The Little People”, “Five Characters in Search of an Exit” or the timeless “It’s A Good Life” again in their restored state brings a fresh sense of engagement and wonder to the stories, making it easy to lose yourself in the enjoyment all over again.

All 37 episodes from 1961-62 are included in this 5-disc set: The Gift, Two, The Shelter, The Mirror, The Grave, It’s a Good Life, Deaths-Head Revisited, The Midnight Sun, Still Valley, The Jungle, Once Upon a Time, Five Characters in Search of an Exit, A Quality of Mercy, One More Pallbearer, Nothing in the Dark, The Hunt, Dead Man’s Shoes, Showdown with Rance McGrew, A Piano in the House, The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank, To Serve Man, The Fugitive, Little Girl Lost, Person or Persons Unknown, The Little People and Four.

Now available (released July 9, 2013)
Running time: 950 minutes (NR)
Black & White, Dolby Digital Mono
