The Vampire Diaries is headed for a fifth season and it will get a spin-off.
The CW gave the go-ahead for the spin-off series, The Originals, yesterday.
Fans who tuned in for Thursday’s episode got a look at what the Originals could look like when it debuts. The episode served as a back-door pilot for the series.
The Originals centers on Klaus’ return to New Orleans, a town he once helped to form that has been taken over by his protégé Marcel.
In addition, the CW has also decide to more forward with a second season of Beauty and the Beast.
