Web comic Wayward Sons: Legends has been optioned for a movie adaptation by Warner Brothers for its Lin Pictures studio.
Red Giant Entertainment, who publishes the web comic, will co-produce the project.
Wayward Sons centers on two groups of diverse warring aliens who crash-landed on earth thousands of years ago. With their unending fight, the groups end up inspiring humanity’s every myth, legend and fairy tale, from Greeks gods to dragons to vampires to superheroes.
“The Wayward Sons comics present a great framework for an event science-fiction movie that explores ancient mythologies from various cultures around the world,” said Lin Pictures head Dan Lin in a statement.
The project is currently looking for a writer.
