Warning: If you haven’t seen the season finale for The Walking Dead and don’t want to know details, please turn back now. There are SPOILERS just ahead.
Looks like we’ll get another season with the Governor.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that actor David Morrisey will be back as a regular for the fourth season of The Walking Dead.
If you saw the third season finale, you know we last saw the Governor gunning down some of his own people and then taking off. This followed a battle at the prison won by Rick and company.
If you’re a fan of the comics, you know that the Governor doesn’t survive that battle in the original source material. But that’s not the case here and the finale left the door open for more menace next year.
The fact that the Governor survived shouldn’t be a shock. Producers have been pleased with Morrisey’s work in the role and were eager to find a way to have him continue to work on the show. Fans expecting the death of the character were surprised by Sunday night’s finale.
So, do you think having the Governor back for another year is good?
