With news that the long hoped for Veronica Mars movie raised its funds via Kickstarter and is finally moving forward, will other Hollywood properties follow suit?
The answer, for some, is yes.
On the genre front, Kickstarter campaigns for a Chuck movie and a revival of Pushing Daisies appear to be the forerunners at the present.
Daisies creator Bryan Fuller says that he’d be interested in seeing if Kickstarter could revive the series, says Mars creator Rob Thomas. Thomas cites an e-mail he’s received from Fuller, looking to discuss how Veronica Mars got backing and funding from fans and how that could work for Daisies.
Others in Hollywood have taken notice, though some are more interested than others. It should be interesting to see what comes next.
I would love to see Pushing Daisies come to a proper close.
I’ve never really cared for Chuck, but it would be Awesome if there was a movie to wrap up My Name is Earl.
