While fans can debate whether or not J.J. Abrams is a good choice to direct the next Star Wars installment, the creator of a galaxy far, far away has given his seal of approval.
George Lucas says that he believes Abrams is an “ideal” candidate for the directing gig.
In a press release from LucasFilm, Lucas says, “I’ve consistently been impressed with J.J. as a filmmaker and storyteller. He’s an ideal choice to direct the new Star Wars film and the legacy couldn’t be in betterhands.”
So, do you agree with the bearded one or do you think Abrams will bring too much lens flare to Star Wars?
Indiana Jim says
Can we get over the lens flares and appreciate how great the movie actually was? Just a thought.
Laith Preston says
Seconded.
But the flares just make such an easy target. 🙂
Seriously though, there are a lot of great movies which had annoying cinematic choices made.
