Which “SG1” Star Is Headed for “Supernatural”

September 19, 2012 By Mike Hickerson Leave a Comment

Actress Amanda Tapping is headed for the eighth season of Supernatural.

The former Stargate: SG1 star will have a recurring role in the upcoming eighth season.

Tapping will play Naomi, a member of a “cool and mysterious” group of angels we’ve never seen before. The character is described as a “no-nonsense bureaucrat” similar to Matt Damon in The Good Shepherd, where he played a by-the-book CIA operative.

The casting breakdown explains, “She wears a business suit and has her hair pulled back. However, Naomi is less together than she appears to be. Her efficient manner belies a deeper emotionality.”

Tapping will make her debut on the show in the seventh episode of the season.
