Actor Michael Emerson, best known for his Emmy winning work on Lost, will lend his voice to the Joker for the upcoming The Dark Knight Returns, Part Two.
The influential Frank Miller graphic novel is getting adapted as two animated features by Warner Brothers animation. The first half hits stores this month and the second installment will be released early next year.
“He’s one of those great villains that an actor like me likes to play because he has layers—he has a face for the world and a face for himself. He is, in a way, a villain who is a natural actor. All of that is that is delightful and confounding at the same time,” Emerson tells TV Guide.
