And now for a bit of reboot rage.
David Cronenberg’s Videodrome is getting a reboot. One of the director’s first works in the 80’s, the original was ahead of its time.
It will get a new modern reboot by commercial auteur Adam Berg. Berg is trying to make his jump into feature films with the project.
According to Deadline, the team will likely make some tweaks to modernize the storyline, with nanotechnology a likely option.

There are some movies that really do not deserve to be remade… While a re-boot of “Videodrome” might give it wider appeal, I truly can’t see how a re-boot of this film will deliver with the same amount of artistic impact that the Cronenberg’s film did.
