Last week, various Hollywood trade papers broke the news that Yancy Butler will be back for Kick-Ass 2. She joins Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, and Robert Emms in the sequel, which is set to begin shooting later this year.
The sequel is also looking to add a few new faces as well. Lindy Booth is in talks to join the cast according to the Hollywood Reporter. Booth would play the role of pole-wielding Justice Forever team member Night Bitch.
Booth has starred on the NBC show The Philanthropist and ABC’s October Road as well as having a role in Dawn of the Dead, Wrong Turn and Cry Wolf.
There’s also a rumor floating around Hollywood that Universal would like to see Jim Carrey cast in the sequel. No word yet on what role Carrey would play, but it’s said to be a significant supporting role for the super hero movie. As you may recall, Carrey is no stranger to comic book films. He was the Riddler in Batman Forever.

Sorry for the nitpick, but Carrey was the Riddler.
