When the merger between Disney and Marvel was announced, many wondered what the first animated collaboration between the two would be.
Some have speculated it could be a Pixar done version of Doctor Strange. And while that could still happen, it appears the first animated Marvel film from Disney will be a big-screen version of Big Hero 6.
The surprise adaptation based on the Japanese heroes could arrive in theatres in 2014, according to It’s On the Grid.
The 1998 team featured Sunfire, Silver Samurai, GoGo Tomago, Honey Lemon, Hiro Takachiho and Baymax.
The group was most recently seen in Dan Slott’s Amazing Spider-Man story ‘Ends of the Earth’.
A Big Hero 6 adaptation may require a change in the team’s line-up, as Sunfire and Silver Samurai are X-Men characters, the film rights of which are controlled by 20th Century Fox.
