Which Classic “Who” Monsters Could Return Next Year?

Which Classic “Who” Monsters Could Return Next Year?

June 14, 2012 By Mike Hickerson 1 Comment

We already know the Daleks will be back next season of Doctor Who, but what other classic baddies could come back next season?

According to a source for UK Daily Star, the Ice Warriors will return next year as well.’

The Martian inhabitants would return in the second half of series seven, after the holiday special and once Jenna Louise-Coleman takes over as the new companion. Reports indicate the script for their return is being penned by Mark Gatiss.

A source said: “Who fans have been crying out for the return of the Ice Warriors. Now they’ve got their wish. “It’s going to be an exciting year with the 50th anniversary celebrations.”

At this time, there’s no official confirmation of this.  An extra on the recently released (in the U.S. anyway) special edition of “The Seeds of Death” has several Who fans campaigning for the return of the Ice Warriors, as well as the Zygons. Both alien races have been rumored to return to the screens in previous seasons.
