Fans hungry for new Doctor Who will be happy to hear that a new mini-sode is headed our way.
Set around the upcoming London Olympics, the mini-episode will air as part of Blue Peter’s Script-to-Screen contest and air on May 24th.
This will be our first new Who since the holiday special.
Of course, I could point out that all of the fans complaining about the long wait between new episodes should remember that some of us had to wait fourteen years between new episodes during the “wilderness years.” But I won’t do that….
It must include a cameo with Tennant, or at least show the video of him running up the steps with the torch.

The mini-sode will the be results of a competition that was staged earlier in the year that was aimed at 9-11 yr olds. Will be up to them to decide 🙂 Link to the original story about its announcement below.
