The Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block has ordered a spin-off from Children’s Hospital.
Based on the segments aired as part of the second and third season of the comedy series, Newsreaders is a satire of the network television newsmagazine genre and explores the vital issues that actually don’t affect us every day, from hard-hitting investigations to harder-hitting heartwarming profiles.
Jim Margolis, former co-executive producer of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, has come on board to serve as showrunner and develop Newsreaders with Rob Corddry, Jonathan Stern and David Wain.
And this is Sci-fi how?
I know that SyFy is doing its best to dumb down the definision of science fiction with b-movie wannabes and green tinted “mock-reality” shows, but where in the galaxy has sci-fi become equated with stoner parody comedies?
