Multi-Media Project “Anomaly” Heading Our Way

Multi-Media Project “Anomaly” Heading Our Way

May 2, 2012 By Mike Hickerson Leave a Comment

Comic book artist Brian Haberlin and Hollywood dealmaker Skip Brittenham have teamed up on a multi-media new project called Anomaly.

The project will be available in October as a graphic novel and as a stand-alone tablet app featuring voice work by some of the leading actors in science fiction and gaming.  The app will be available for users of Apple products and Android users and include the voice talents of Vincent Corazza, Nana Visitor, Olivia D’Abo, Dave Fennoy, Keith Szarabajka, Hudson Leick and Anthony Cistaro.

Anomaly  is set in the year 2717 with most humans living in off-world colonies and a single corporation, the Conglomerate, routinely conquering other planets to steal their resources. The story follows a group of explorers who embark on a diplomatic mission to a mysterious planet, only to find themselves embroiled in a conflict involving its exotic inhabitants.

Brittenham and Haberlin worked with academicians in philosophy, religion and science to develop the story’s cultural landscape and planetary functions based on actual historical and scientific facts. The stand-alone tablet app will be available for multiple platforms and sport many interactive features.

“We want Anomaly to be a truly innovative reading experience, with a dimension of interactivity that has never been done before,” Brittenham said. “Brian and I have tried to create an action-adventure that also includes serious ideas in a deeply immersive environment, and we’ve designed the interface so that the consumers can choose how they wish to consume it.”

A feature adaptation is in development with Joe Roth
