Actress Emily Blunt is in conversations to join the upcoming sci-fi epic All You Need Is Kill.
Blunt will join Tom Cruise in headlining the project from director Doug Liman.
The film casts Cruise as a raw recruit who gets killed in action but, in Groundhog Day fashion, is reborn each day to fight, and die, again and again. He begins trying to train himself to be a better soldier in hope of changing his fate.
Blunt would play Valkyrie One, one of humankind’s best soldiers.
Blunt is also dipping her toe into the genre world later this year with the time-travel drama Looper.
