Archie comics character Sabrina the Teenage Witch is getting a make-over.
Sony Pictures will update the story of Sabrina for the silver screen, making her into a super hero of sort. According to Deadline, the reboot will follow along the lines of Spider-Man’s origin with Sabrina coming to terms with her new found powers.
Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari are working on a script for the project, which will be produced by Don Murphy and Susan Montford. Marc Waters may direct the feature.
Sabrina has been featured in several animated series and a live-action sitcom featuring Melissa Joan Hart. According to reports, the reboot will be “edgier” but Sabrina will keep her talking black cat, who in this version is a transformed prince creating unique love stories for Sabrina.
