Fox has decided to pull Breaking In from the schedule.
The second season comedy was schedule to return next week after the season finale of Raising Hope, but Fox has decided it will air New Girl repeats in the time slot instead of the final episodes of Breaking In.
The series, which includes a lot of genre references, was saved from the cancellation pile last year and given a second season at the last minute. The series hasn’t pulled in the same ratings it did last year when it followed American Idol.
The show opened its sophomore season with a 1.7/4 in adults 18-49 last month and logged a 1.3/3 in its most recent airing, tying a season low.
No word yet on if or when Fox may burn off the final episodes of the season.
As much as I loved this show last season, I’m not sad it’s going away. This season has been TERRIBLE! Megan Mullaly is just basically playing the same character she did in Will & Grace. I loved her on that show, but she killed Breaking In.
