After actresses Dakota Fanning, Lilly Collins, Emily Browning and Shailene Woodley have all declined the opportunity to take the lead role in the big-screen reboot of Carrie, MGM appears to be focusing on two actresses to take the role.
Kick-Ass‘ Chloe Moretz and The Haunting of Molly Hartley‘s Haley Bennett are reportedly at the top of director Kimberly Pierce’s list for the role.
Pierce adds that she’d like to see Jodie Foster take on the role of Carrie’s mother.
The new Carrie would be a reboot of the film based on Stephen King’s first novel.
