Did you see the season finale of The Walking Dead?
If so, you’re not alone. AMC reports that the second season finale delivered a series-high 9 million viewers. That’s up from what last year’s season finale which had 6 million viewers.
The follow-up talk show Talking Dead also hit a series hit with 4.3 million viewers.
After the endings of the previous two episodes I was expecting something super-crazy-mind-blowing for the season finale. We do have the one mystery but that’s really about it. And I think they should have made that the last scene but they didn’t.
I will certainly be back for more but found the last episode rather lacking in cliffhanginess.
I found that the last three episodes of the show have been as good as it gets. These characters are complex, and they have biases. But the members of Rick’s group change as time moves on, and not always for the better. I found this to be a cliffhanger that introduces a new character and a new location. The group appears to be at a crossroads, and possibly Rick as well.
The finale was, in my opinion, perfect. The only problem I see is that waiting for the fall is to torturous to bare. Thankfully “Falling Skies” is coming back so that should things till then.
This show has always delivered. Even the worst episode of Walking Dead is really really good.
The finale literally had me yelling out to the characters. I can’t remember having ever done that previously. I was actually incredibly and genuinely concerned for these people. This show is now ranking up there with my few undying loves like Fringe and Firefly.
The only thing I can compare to the ending of the season finale of “The Walking Dead” is the climax in Spartacus last week.
Swords are back!
