Could a Netflix channel on your cable system be a reality?
It appears so.
Deadline reports the streaming content provider is considering a movie. CEO Reed Hastings says that while the goal of having a cable outlet isn’t a short term reality for the show, it is one the company is considering in the long term.
He’s already in talks with “some of the largest U.S. cable companies,” Reuters reports. It adds that by year end at least one cable company could offer Netflix on an experimental basis.
The news come on the heels of Comcast debuting their own streaming service and offering it as part of their On Demand package to customers.
