AMC Promo Material Reveals Possible “Dead” SPOILER

AMC Promo Material Reveals Possible “Dead” SPOILER

March 2, 2012 By Michael Hickerson 2 Comments

Did AMC inadvertently give away a Walking Dead spoiler?

It may have.

If you don’t want to know, stop reading now!

In promotional materials for the upcoming second season DVD and Blu-Ray set, AMC has listings for some of the special features. The teasers for bonus features include an extended zombie gut scene, and the making of the barn, the promo also notes this: “Shane’s last episode.”

Rumors have circulated in the second half of the season that actor Jon Bernthal, who plays Shane, has been cast in a new TNT drama. That led to speculation that Shane wouldn’t make it out of season two.

Of course, the character has been living on borrowed time on the TV show. Fans of the comics will recall that Shane dies in the first half dozen or so issues.

Not even the first half-dozen. The first one PERIOD. About time for him to go!

I’ve really enjoyed the “What if” aspect of the series about how the group dynamics would have been different had Shane lived. However, I think it is now time for a heroic or tragic end of Shane. I TRULY hope they stick to the comic in the ONE sense where Carl is the one who kills him.

However, after the last ep on sunday, ALL BETS ARE OFF! I did NOT see that coming.

Carl needs MORE than a spanking.
