Pierce Could Direct “Carrie” Remake

MGM/Screen Gems reportedly have their eye on Kimberly Peirce to direct the upcoming reboot of Carrie.

Based on Stephen King’s first novel, Carrie centers on a telekinetic teenager who gets pushed too far at the prom and wreaks havoc on her fellow high school students.

Pierce is best known for her work directing Boys Don’t Cry.

Why? There has already been a remake & it sucked big time. The original is just fine. I see no need to rehash or update it. How about making something original for a change. Is everyone in Hollywood brain dead? That was a rhetorical question.

Hollywood wonders why 2011 was the worst year in B/O receipts? This movie and all the othter crap like it is the reason. Wake-Up Hollywood
