ABC has given the green light to a pilot from writer Dan Fogelman for a single-camera alien comedy, reports Deadline.
The network purchased a spec script from Fogelman in October. Fogelman wrote the scripts for Crazy Stupid Love and Cars.
The pilot, which will be produced by ABC Studios, centers on a family that moves into a highly desirable gated community in New Jersey only to discover that the entire neighborhood is made up of aliens disguised as humans.
Sounds like the failed series “The Gates” which featured the same premise except instead of aliens, the community housed vampires, werewolves, succubi & witches.
