Remember that report that Benicio Del Toro was not playing Khan in the next Star Trek movie? That’s true.
Turns out Del Toro won’t be in the film at all. Vulture reports that Del Toro has left the project after negotiations over his salary fell through last week.
And it appears that Khan will be in the movie, after all. The site reports that a highly placed source on the film has confirmed the news.
Of course, that now brings up the question of whether or not actor Chris Pine will be called upon to recreate this famous William Shatner moment in the next movie.
To be fair if Khan is in this one they’d have to cover the ground from Space Seed before they hit the ground covered in tWoK. This would give them a great deal more flexibility in terms of story.
