Pegg Not Interested in “Who”

Pegg Not Interested in “Who”

November 17, 2011 By Michael Hickerson 2 Comments

When news broke that a big-screen version of Doctor Who could be happening in the next couple of years, one of the actors that many threw out to take on the iconic role of the Doctor is Simon Pegg.

Which might be a good idea, except that Pegg isn’t interested.

Pegg tweeted that “It’s nice to be thought of but I do not want the part and wouldn’t accept it if were offered to me.  I did my Who time and died.  The end.”

But who should the big-screen Doctor be?

Pegg has an idea–the current Doctor, Matt Smith.

“Matt Smith is the Doctor and should f******* play him,” Pegg tweets.

It would be hard to follow Matt Smith but I think the next Dr. Who should be Neville Longbottom.

Pegg is absolutely right! While he would make for an interesting turn at the Doctor, Matt Smith IS the Doctor right now and the role should fall to him.

Of course I find it interesting that the BBC has come forward and said that no such movie is being made at this present time…
