Jenkins Could Direct “Thor 2”

Monster director Patty Jenkins is the front-runner to helm Thor 2 according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Negotiations haven’t begun yet but Jenkins served as director for Monster and the pilot episode of The Killing.  She would take over for Kenneth Branaugh who left the franchise after the first installment.

It was rumored in early August that Brian Kirk, a director behind many Game of Thrones episodes, was in early negotiations to direct but those reports were wrong as Kirk never got past the meeting stage.
