Trailer for “Horizon” Released

Trailer for “Horizon” Released

September 12, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 7 Comments

Before you read further, watch the above trailer and then ask yourself this question–would this film be something you’d watch if it came on cable or you could rent on DVD or Blu-Ray?

The preview for the upcoming release of Horzion makes it look like it could be an decent sci-fi thriller. That is, if you ignore the studio behind it and the fact that it is, in fact, a pornographic film.

The trailer for director Sam Hain’s film highlights some solid digital effects and the genre situation that sounds a bit like an homage to Battlestar Galactica. And it’s got what sounds like an interesting story and premise.

Horizontakes place in the year 2085, after a civilization of extraterrestrial origin has invaded Earth. About one-third of the planet’s nine billion inhabitants have been killed; nearly two billion more have been evacuated to a military base hidden in the core of the planet Mercury.Of the four billion humans who remain on Earth, all are expected to perish within 48 hours. Taking a last stand against the alien onslaught, one Marine battalion remains on the surface. But they are in retreat, seeking shelter in the space cruiser Horizon.

But make no mistake, this one isn’t for younger audiences.

In addition to the Wicked Girls, the denizens of the year 2085 include AVN Best Actress winner Kimberly Kane, Bobbi Starr, Misty Stone, Aiden Starr, Rocco Reed, Bill Bailey, Tony De Sergio, Xander Corvus and Danny Mountain.

Damn! Sci-fi porn with great special effects, tremendous audio & HD plus an actual plot that doesn’t just center on the Pump & Grind” Did I die and go to heaven? Must see more.

They couldn’t have called it “Whore-izon?”

And no, I’m not paying to see a movie in which the space suits/combat gear appears to be motorcycle helmets.

Actually being pornographic is probably the only thing that would make me interested in watching it, none of this “if you ignore” stuff. Otherwise it looks like something somebody made with a camcorder and photoshop.

Except for the hardcore sex part, it looks a lot like every movie SciFi has shown on Saturday night for the last five years or so.

It does look like a syfy Saturday night movie, but with slightly better acting. The description fits too. I’m a little bummed it’s a porno, honestly, but I enjoy (some) stupid scifi flicks.

If I had thought that this was just a sci-fi flick I would probably wait until it was on DVD or Netflix… The fact that it’s a porn film actually has made me curious to see how the writer integrated the porn into what looked like a modest sci-fi action movie!
