The rejected pilot for Locke and Key has found its way onto the Internet.
The project, based on the comic series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, starred Miranda Otto, Nick Stahl, Jesse McCartney, Skylar Gaertner and Harrison Thomas and was directed by Mark Romanek.
It was picked up to pilot in October 2010, but Fox later declined to commission a full series in May of this year.
Discussing the leaked trailer on Twitter, producer Josh Friedman wrote: “This [trailer] was made by Fox for advertisers months ago (obviously before they decided not to pick us up).”
He added: “Nobody should make anything of its presence on the net. I don’t know who put it out there. But it is something Fox had shown me long ago.”
Fox president Kevin Reilly previously insisted that Locke & Key was “a cool pilot with good talent involved” but that other shows “fit better” in the network schedule.
I would have been interested in watching it.
I just watched trailer and this looked very promising. I love the comic series and hope it gets made.
I’ve looked around but cannot seem to find it anywhere. I found Wonder Woman. Is the Pilot under some kind of a different name?
