When producer Julie Plec said that the relationship on the upcoming season of the Vampire Diaries with Tyler and Caroline would be similar to that of some famous Shakespearean characters, actress Candice Accola admits its makes her “nervous.”
“That makes me a little bit nervous,” she said. “But it’s still early on. We have a lot of new characters coming on, and hopefully they’ll have a more positive ending than Romeo and Juliet.”
Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev confirmed reports that Damon and Elena will not get together immediately even though they will be spending more time together as Stefan has left Mystic Falls.
“They are joining forces to try to find Stefan to make sure that he’s okay,” she explained. “It’s going to be one of those situations [where] either absence makes the heart grow fonder, or out of sight, out of mind. So it’s going to be interesting to see.”
The Vampire Diaries will return with its third season on September 15 on The CW.
