“Thrones” Named Best New Series by TCA

The Television Critics Association held their annual awards ceremony Saturday evening and several Slice of SciFi favorites came away big winners. 

Game of Thrones took home the award for Outstanding New Series and Sherlock won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials.

• Individual Achievement in Comedy: Ty Burrell (“Modern Family,” ABC)

• Outstanding Achievement in News and Information:

• Outstanding Achievement in Reality Programming: “Amazing Race” (CBS)
• Outstanding Achievement in Youth Programming: “Sesame Street” (PBS)
• Outstanding New Program: “Game of Thrones” (HBO)
• Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries and Specials:
“Masterpiece: Sherlock” (PBS)
