QMX Maquette Giveaway

QMX Maquette Giveaway

July 22, 2011 By News Droid Leave a Comment

Slice of SciFi has teamed with QMX to bring two lucky listeners a great new prize.

We’re giving away maquettes of the Fruity Oaty Bar Girls from Serenity and of Teal’c from Stargate: SG1.

Created by Serenity Designer Geoffrey Mandel, the Fruity Oaty Girls Maquette Set includes the cheery trio of Fruity Oaty girls, display base and special Verse packaging. These hefty maquettes are cast in solid polystone resin and hand painted, with neck joints mounted on springs so they can move to the beat. Even the base – shaped and labeled just like a real Fruity Oaty Bar – is solid resin and color keyed, so girls can easily find their designated slots.

Sage, Cinnamon and Lavender will bring the shiny to anyone’s day. Each girl stands 4.5 inches tall, not including the base, and comes in her own individually branded full-color box. The Fruity Oaty Bar base has its own unique box. All four boxes are nestled in a full-color master carton that’s been designed to look like a standard shipping crate from The Verse.

Limited to 1,500 numbered sets and priced at just $69.95, these will last about as long as a Maidenhead Bar patron remains standing – once River sees the Fruity Oaty Girls in action. Order yours now!

Teal’c – the proud Jaffa warrior, now available bigger than life!* The first in a new line of “hero-sized” animated maquettes, Teal’c is sculpted as we first meet him in the Stargate SG-1 pilot episode Children of the Gods: First Prime of Apophis and deeply troubled by what he has seen and done in his god’s name. That’s why, when the humans of the Tau’ri (that’s us Earthlings) arrive on the scene, Teal’c rejects a life of obedience to rebel against his master and all Goa’uld.

The Teal’c maquette comes posed in full armor and holding his Jaffa staff weapon, a look of defiance captured in this animation-style statue. He comes standing on a base that is a miniaturized, screen-accurate Stargate replica. Limited to just 1,000 pieces, the Teal’c maquette is hand painted and hero sized – standing more than 9 inches tall from the bottom of the base to the top of his staff weapon.

Teal’c is first in a line of animated maquettes inspired by the heroes (and villains) of Stargate.
