Disney’s track record with turning theme park rides into movie has been hit or miss, but that doesn’t mean the House of Mouse is going to stop trying for a hit.
The latest ride to become a movie will be the Matterhorn ride called The Hill. Opened in 1959 and refurbished in 1979, the ride is a toboggan-theme roller coaster that features a Yeti at the end.
Disney has hired Jason Dean Hall to script the movie and Justin Springer to serve as producer.
The idea behind The Hill is to do a thrilling, fast-paced movie centering on five young adventure seekers who, for mysterious reasons, are called to the top of the mountain and encounter a Yetis on the journey down.
