Dr. Horrible Ready To Tie the Matrimonial Knot?

Dr. Horrible Ready To Tie the Matrimonial Knot?

June 25, 2011 By Sam Sloan 5 Comments

Actor Neil Patrick Harris (Starship Troopers, How I Met Your Mother, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog) and longtime partner David Burtka feel they can now be comfortable tying the marriage knot with the recent passage of New York State’s Gay Marriage Law.

Avid New Yorkers, neither felt right about leaving the Empire State for legal nuptials so simply held off and continued hoping New Yorker’s would one day see the logic of such a bill, and now that day has finally arrived for them and countless thousands of other New Yorkers.

Harris and Burtka are parents of 8-month-old fraternal twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott.

When asked if he and Burtka have set a date, the 38 year old actor would only say that “we’ve been wearing engagement rings for ages, waiting for an available date.”

Aaaaaaa, the headline is in the posit of a question. You know, is he ready? Is he not ready? Gotta play with the language a bit to make it interesting.

You got me excited then, thinking there was going to be a new Dr Horrible soon.

In any case, well done New York and congrats to NPH.

Being a fan of Dr. Steel, and angry at Wheedon for his theft of the singing mad-scientist shtick, I could give a rats ass if Horrible marries. As for Neil Patrick Harris, it’s about time he and his love were able to do what hetero couples have been able to do for centuries. Congratulations to Neil and anyone else out there who’ve been fighting for that basic right. Now you can suffer like the rest of us!! 😉
