Caine Says We Should Avoid SPOILERS For “The Dark Knight Rises”

June 20, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 1 Comment

Actor Michael Caine is not a fan of SPOILERS and he encourages fans to avoid them for the upcoming production of The Dark Knight Rises.

“Let me tell you… the plot is extraordinary… really extraordinary. I know why he wants to keep it a secret. You really need not to know till you see the movie,” he says.

Caine says that he feels like and the rest of the cast and crew should have to sign the Official Secrets Act to avoid giving out SPOILERS for the film.

“I’m lucky to be able to tell you the title of the movie,” he jokes. “I remember I did an interview and someone said to me, ‘What are you doing next?’ I said, ‘I’m doing Batman’. I saw Chris and he said, ‘Why did you tell them you were doing Batman? You’re supposed to keep it secret’… I couldn’t keep that a secret.”

Caine, who also worked with Nolan on last year’s Inception and 2006 drama The Prestige, was quick to praise the “great” and “clever” director.

“Christopher Nolan, I think, is one of the greatest directors in the world and I’ve been lucky [to work with him],” he gushed. “This is my fifth movie with him. It’s such a pleasure to work with him and he’s so clever.”

I completely agree with Mr. Caine. I loved Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and I’m sure the third movie will be jsut as fantastic. Also, because there are no comments available for the Green Lantern DVD contest, why do we need to submit shirt size if it is for a DVD?
