Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling will soon be embarking on a new Potter adventure. No, it’s not a new string of novels or films about the boy wizard, but will consist of a brand new website named “Pottermore.”
Fans can go to www.pottermore.com. The online site launched yesterday, exactly one month prior to the last Harry Potter film installment which is due to hit theaters July 15. Of course, currently all you get is an announcement that the site is “coming soon.”
Some are saying fans will be in for a real treat once the site is up and running at full steam. Potter fansite The Leaky Cauldron, a well-established Potter site was given a sneak-peek of the content. They called it “one of the most amazing, engaging and breathtaking additions to this fandom imaginable”.
Fans have been told by Warner Bros. studio and a spokesperson for Ms. Rowling that this site will not be home-base for any new Harry Potter novels but is an entirely new J.K Rowling project for her famed Potter creation.
Not counting book sales the Harry Potter films alone have grossed over $6.4 billion making Rowling the world’s first multi-billion dollar author of note.
