So, is it creepy motion capture again, or is it CG “enchanced” faces on real people? Either way, sorry as much as I used to enjoy tintin I will pass, give me fully animated or real people in makeup.
The only thing that might save this is if Peter Jackson’s WETA group did the CGI for the characters. If so it might be more in lines with Gollum as far as believability than with what Robert Zemekis has done with both Polar Express and A Christmas Carol.
