For the second time in as many weeks, Thor ruled the box-office.
The film dropped 48% from last week’s total to $34.5 million in ticket sales, but it was still enough to help the Marvel super hero epic take the top spot. In the ten days since its U.S. release, Thor has taken in $119.3 million domestically.
The encore was enough to hold off a strong debut from the comedy Bridesmaids, which opened to $24.4 million.
Fast Five was third with $19.5 million, which brought its three-weekend total to $168.8 million.
The comic-book adaptation Priest met expectations with $14.5 million, followed by Rio with $8 million.
