Trailer for “The Almighty Thor” Released

Trailer for “The Almighty Thor” Released

May 4, 2011 By News Droid 3 Comments

If you’ve looked at your TV listings, you may have noticed that Thor will be on TV this weekend.

Not the big-screen Marvel movie, but instead a new movie on Syfy called The Almighty Thor.

Starring Richard Grieco, Cody Deal and Patricia Velasquez, the story begins when volcanic fissure bursts open in the fortress of Valhalla, freeing the demon God Loki (Grieco), who steals the Hammer of Invincibility. Loki plans to obliterate Los Angeles using the Hammer — and Thor (Deal) is the only one who can stop him.

The film airs Saturday night at 9 p.m. on Syfy. They’ve even sent over a preview for you to check out.

And if you miss is Saturday, the film hits DVD next Tuesday!

Seriously? Patricia Velasquez? I am SO there! I loved her in the Mummy, and if she’s half as delightful here, I bet I’ll enjoy the movie.

Thor vs. Mansquito! I’d tune in for that…

    Should be a fun one.

Syfy is staying with the fantasy theme this month since their next title on May 21st will be “Sinbad and the Minotaur”. That one is already out on DVD in region 2 and the reviews for it have been horrible. It should be a fun train wreck. 🙂
