G.I. Joe won’t be doing battle with at least one of their classic nemesis in the upcoming sequel.
According to actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Cobra Commander won’t be back for the sequel.
The actor broke the news during an interview with Collider this week.
Gordon-Levitt’s interview confirms what Rachel Nichols said via Twitter in March. She told us that only Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Duke were coming back for the sequel.
So who do you think will be the villain for the second film–Serpantor?

So, basically, all the fun characters with actors who seemed to be having a blast and therefore made the movie watchable, they’re NOT gonna be in the sequel?

Well since at the end of the first movie CC was wearing a full face mask so anyone could play him. Also how could Storm survive? He had a sword through the gut and fell into Arctic water while the base was being destroyed. He should be at the bottom of the ocean being eaten by crabs.
For the villain, there’s Dr.Mindbender, Destro, and Zartan any of which could be the villain depending on the plot,
So, let me get this straight. They set up the a sequel at the end of the first movie, but they won’t be making the second movie based on that setup. I really hate hollywood. They tease but don’t deliver.
I could have swore that I saw Cobra Commander in the trailer. Maybe not. But why the [frak] wouldn’t you use him, considering they set the end of the first one up like he was going to be coming back along with Destro.
