Warner Brothers is working hard to make sure they get Green Lantern right.
The film is just over six weeks away from opening but it’s gone back to have some more tweaks done to the visual effects. The studio is reportedly spending $9 million more to work on the final effects for the film.
Before you hit the panic button, many in Hollywood says that is the norm for high-budget, effects driven movies today. “The kind of sturm and drang that’s swirled around Green Lantern is actually par for the course on most visual effects-heavy tentpoles these days—and the problem’s growing,” reports Variety.
“There is no problem on Green Lantern. We try to add things to make the movie better until the 11th hour. That doesn’t mean we’re risking the movie up to the 11th hour,” says Warner Brothers executive Chris de Faria.
“When the bar is raised, we can’t refuse to jump over it,” he added.
So, do you think this is good news for the film or bad news?
