Syfy Pulls Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Repeats

April 25, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 10 Comments

If you missed Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles the first time around and were hoping to catch up in repeats on Syfy, you may want to head for Netflix.

Syfy has pulled the block repeats of the show on Thursday nights after just three weeks.  They’ll be replaced by repeats of Star Trek: The Next Generation, according to Tor.

In a related note, BBC America announced last week that it’s picked up the repeat rights to the new Battlestar Galactica.   The cable outlet will begin airing the series in order later this year.

BBC America also shows repeats of Next Generation as well as the first two seasons of The X-Files.

Maybe they’ll pick up Sarah Connor and actually run the whole series through at least once….

They just absolutely hate good TV. I think they undervalue their advertising time.

You. Have. Got. To. Be. KIDDING! ME! First they start reairing Charlie Jade episodes from the beginning back in March (2am Fridays, but better than nothing), but they pull those after 3 episodes. Seriously? You’re worried about ratings for show you’re airing at 5am Eastern?

And now this. I know a handful of people who were looking forward to watching the reruns, and now they’re going to be left hanging as well. How much did they advertise that they would be rerunning TSCC?

      I got nothin’.

Reruns of TNG instead? An improvement, to be sure.

LOL SyFy has got to be the worst run network out there…BBC America is quickly becoming the real SciFi network. And I will be watching the re-runs of BSG. I guess SyFy can always put on repeats of wrestling or some cooking shows…seems to be the direction they’ve taken.

SyFY is becoming a joke. I gave up on it and found my Sci Fi programming elsewhere.

This channel is an amalgam of so many other NBC channels. It has lost its way.

I have to say that the people running SciFi Channel have to be the most overpaid programmers in the known and unknown universe. That by the way is true if they are receiving minimum wage. I frankly was looking forward to watching this again. I thought they put to many episodes in one block but that is their MO.. They just never learn. The people running this network need to get positions more appropriate to their talents. The good news is all they have to learn during retraining is to say, “Did you want fries with that?” As far as the wrestling I am really glad to see it. Now I have 2 hours free on Friday night to do something else.

Yup – When I think “Sci Fi,” I think “pro wrestling.”
