After a couple of weeks off, Fringe returned Friday night and was down a bit in the ratings.
The series drew 3.6 million viewers for the first of its final four episodes this season. That ties a series low for the third-year Fox show.
Meanwhile, Smallville began its final push to the finish line with an uptick in the ratings. Both it and Supernatural were up for the CW. Smallville drew 2.3 million for its hour and Supernatural drew 2.2 million.

That was the worst Fringe episode of the season. The whole cartoon thing was stupid. The animation was terrible.
I’m on the opposite side of the spectrum. I didn’t care how good the animation was because the whole point was how unrealistic it was. I thought the whole episode was fantastic, well done, and I’m still giggling a bit at Broyles 🙂
I’m with you Gazer… that was a truly trippy, but excellent episode. I’m still trying to think who X-Man will turn out to be?
Wrong, worst episode for any show will always be “The Musical”. For me it is and always will be the shark moment in any series.
I was actually wondering if they went Cartoonish in the last episode because they couldn’t actually get Mr Nimoy on set during the filming?
