Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles has been optioned by Paramount for a big-screen treatment.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, John Davis will produce the adaptation. Davis has previously worked on Predator and I, Robot.
This won’t be the first time the novel has been adapted. A television series was made in 1980 and director Steven Spielberg tried to bring the novel to the silver-screen a couple of years ago.
There’s no writer, no director, and certainly no stars attached to the movie yet .

There’s an Audio Drama version of the Martian Chronicles available on June 7th from the Colonial Radio Players.
I have a number of Audio Drama shows from Colonial Radio Players and they release very good quality shows.. I will be buying this AD.
This is an official release of Martian Chronicles, with Mr. Bradbury’s support.

This has great potential considering the ability in filmmaking with today’s technology. Just please don’t make it 3D. The 1980’s TV mini-series was really good for its day and a film treatment would need to be at least 3 hours long to do the story justice.
