Fringe may be on the bubble in the ratings, but that doesn’t mean producers aren’t moving forward with plans for a fourth season.
To that end, they’ve begun auditioning actresses for a new regular role in season four.
According to E! Online’s Kristen, the role “a green FBI agent named Emily” who will “come aboard for the finale and possibly recur next year.”
While we don’t yet have word if this show will be back for year four, we encourage all of you watch it or at least tune your TV to Fox Fridays at 9 p.m. EST when it airs.

I love that they’re making plans for a 4th season! Very hopeful!!

Wasn’t that their original plan for Season 2 when they introduced FBI agent Amy Jessup? I say “originally” because she was quickly removed from the show. She only appeared in two episodes: “A New Day in the Old Town” (the Season 2 premiere) and “Night of Desirable Objects” (the episode that followed the premiere), then she just disappeared from the series, even though she showed clear interest in the cases investigated by the Fringe team. It’s like they were gearing up to have her join the team, but she never came back.
Dear JJ,
Please write a part for Gugu Mbatha Raw.
She was wonderful in Undercovers, we loved her as Martha Jones’ sister in Doctor Who. She can do drama and comedy.
She can play a kick-ass secret agent and she can look hot, too.
The girl can do everything from Shakespeare to American drama.
Plus…well…you could use some ‘colour’ on Fringe.
Know what I mean?
Just sayin’…
Time for some Wild Mass Guessing: am I the only one thinking that they’re casting a body double, Armie Hammer style, so that Fauxlivia can be a permanent member of Team Fringe?
I would much rather have that FBI agent who worked with the team in last week’s episode.

You mean Lincoln Lee? He might never come back “on our side”, but he’s a main character in the “other universe” storyline.
