A few weeks ago, we brought you a story that Australian actress Robin McLeavy was in the running to play Mary Todd Lincoln in the upcoming big-screen version of Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter.
The bad news is that McLeavy didn’t get that part.
The good news is she’s still part of the movie.
Deadline reports that McLeavy has signed on to play Lincoln’s mother in the upcoming movie. She will play Nancy Hanks Lincoln, who is is killed by a vampire early in the film, which leads our 16th president to go to war against all bloodsuckers. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the film also stars Benjamin Walker as Abraham, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Jimmi Simpson, and Anthony Mackie.
