USA Today‘s television critic Robert Bianco has a preview of tonight’s season finale of V. Here’s a sample of what he says about the finale.
V‘s remaining fans will, at least, find an episode that’s better plotted than last year’s amusing but absurd season-ender. Big events do transpire, but if you were hoping they’d add up to a suitable series finale, in case one is needed, you’re likely to be disappointed.
Still, the deeper problem with tonight’s outing is one shared by the series as a whole: It’s all construct and no character.

Am I the only one here who likes this show for what it is..a weekly scifi drama that doesn’t feel the need to constantly blow something up or kill off an important character, or whose characters aren’t fully developed because there just isn’t that much to them to develop. You know, a lot like real people we run into in our real everyday lives.
Omni says
You are not alone, Sam. It’s just a goofy scifi show. I don’t really care about every character’s deep internal struggle. There’s just enough there to keep it amusing.

The show is what it is… I’m just glad they added more 5th Column members. Other than that… it’s popcorn. Chew and pick your teeth, but stop the complaining.

I am with you Sam. Great fun to watch and not be so serious about it!!!!!! Based on people today nothing will make it for long. There is nothing perfect. I for one like it better than the original so far.
Jayson says
k9, I have to disagree, the original mini-series is still far better in terms of story structure and characters.

I enjoyed the show for what it was…
I was often disappointed that it never lived up to its potential. They lost one of their best characters in Georgie, 🙁
If it continues, I’ll watch anyway.
