Kruek Joins “17th Precinct”

March 11, 2011 By News Droid 2 Comments

Add another familiar face to Ron Moore’s “17th Precinct” pilot.

Kristin Kreuk, best known for her work as Lana Lang on “Smallville” has joined the pilot. She will play Susan Longstreet, the wife of Jamie Bamber’s character, Caolan. For the pilot, Kruek is listed as a “guest star” but the role could be expanded if the series gets a green light.

17th Precinct is a fantasy AND a police procedural, described by Moore as “an adult Harry Potter.” But instead of fighting the evil Lord Voldemort, the characters will be fighting crime.

If she plays this anywhere near the way she played Lana Lang, she’ll suck the life out of every scene she’s in. I hope she displays a little more range and depth in this portrayal.

Who cares about her depth and range. When you look as fine as Kristin the only requisite is to show up on time for Moore’s shout of “Action!”
