“Discovery” Wakes Up to Shatner

March 7, 2011 By Mike Hickerson 7 Comments

What’d you use to wake up this morning? Was it your local morning radio show, a buzzing sound or something from your iPod?

Whatever it was, it’s probably not as cool as how the astronauts on the space shuttle “Discovery” greeted the morning. The crew woke up to the sounds of the original (and still the best) “Star Trek” theme with new voice over narration by the original (and still the best) captain of the starship Enterprise, Captain James T. Kirk, as played by William Shatner.

Second most popular? What was the most popular selection?

Because *nothing* could have been as cool as that. 🙂 Kudos to Mr Shatner for the new voice over and to the fans of Star Trek for getting the theme played.

Yeah, that was okay. Tim Allen saying “Never give up, never surrender” would have been better.
