While Oscar-nominee Darren Aaronofsky is no longer involved with the project to reboot “RoboCop,” MGM still wants to move forward with the project.
They took a step in that direction yesterday when they announced that Jose Padilha will direct the reboot of iconic 80’s film.
Padilha is from South America and has directed two installments in the “Elite Squad” series according to the Hollywood Reporter. This could be his debut as a director in Hollywood.
The studio is now looking for a writer or writers to flesh out the script.
